Richard LarcombeRichard Larcombe is the CTO and founder of Web Purple, a web design and web development firm based in Redding, CA. Richard brings over ten years of software design, programming and web development expertise to the table.
Richard began his software career at Teleca, a UK-based software consultancy firm where he developed embedded software for Nokia Mobile Phones. Richard’s next move was to Cumulus9, a web start-up in Danville California, where he worked with clients to develop websites using Cumulus9's massively-scalable website networking platform.
Richard then joined the National Network of Youth Ministries as Senior Web Application Developer. Working in close partnership with designer Joel Sawyer, Richard was responsible for architecture, software design and development of the Network's web technology, including a donor management platform, a member/customer relationship management platform, e-commerce, event management and the public sites www.Youthworkers.net and www.MentorYouth.com.
Richard’s expertise and experience enable him to serve Web Purple's customers with the latest advancements in web and smart phone app technology.
Richard has an MEng (Master of Engineering) degree in Aeronautics & Astronautics from the University of Southampton, UK.
Joel SawyerJoel Sawyer is the Creative Director of Web Purple. Joel graduated from John Brown University in 1998 with a degree in Graphic Design, and has been captivated by web design since his days in college. His balance of form and function has helped companies, ranging from small non-profits to large corporations, effectively communicate their message both online and in print. Joel is a perfectionist at heart and won't stop until the project is done and done right.
Nick ShenowNick is Web Purple's writer, copy editor and SEO (search engine optimization) expert. He is also head of UK operations for Web Purple. Nick has recently completed 18 years of service as a British army officer where he deployed to a variety of theatres, most recently Iraq. With a Masters in Communications and Information Systems he specialised in planning and implementing military communications networks in hostile environments. Throughout his career he was employed as a leader and manager. He gained extensive experience in training, intelligence, technical equipment trials and press and public relations. He is a keen writer with extensive experience in editing and compiling technical documents, policy, reports as well as articles for in house military journals and internal communications. He is also a recent MBA graduate.
Bethany NicoleBethany is Web Purple's phenomenal Photographer. Bethany specializes in photoshoots to create compelling online visuals and content for our customers. She began her career as a photographer at age 15. She proceeded to practice with mini photo shoots for her friends, family, and even pets! Shortly after, her professional experience began when Henington School Services and Studio One Photography hired her. While receiving hands on training in Adobe Photoshop and various venues of photography her enthusiasm for capturing life moments through a lens was amplified. She bought her first DSLR a year later and began to branch out on her own as a professional freelance photographer.
Chris HarderChris is one of our graphic designers. He has been in the design business for about 8 years. Over that time he has been in charge of design and marketing at Charis Camp & Conference Centre in Chilliwack, BC. He owns his own freelance design company Chris Harder Creative.
